Meet the Minneapolis Dentists of Point Family Dentistry

Point Family Dentistry formed in 2006, when Drs. Tim and Dana Isaacson joined practice with Dr. Edmund Theis. This professional association will allow for all of our patients to receive the highest level of dental health care.

Dr. Dana J. Isaacson

Dr. Dana J. Isaacson has 35 years of experience providing exceptional dental care to thousands of patients. He has experience in all aspects of dental care, and specializes in crown and bridge, full and complete dentures and esthetic dentistry.

Dr. Dana Isaacson matriculated, or enrolled as a member, in the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1973. He joined the practice of Dr. Burns after graduation, and acquired the practice upon Dr. Burn’s retirement.

Dr. Dana spent many years working at the Masonic Home Dental Clinic, providing in-house dental care for the residents. He has practiced in Bloomington ever since, and his son, Dr. Timothy J. Isaacson, joined his practice in 2004. In his free time, Dr. Dana enjoys hunting and fishing, participating in horse racing, and spending time with his three children and two grandchildren.

Dr. Edmund Theis

Dr. Theis has extensive training in esthetic dentistry, and has completed several advanced courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry. He enjoys continuing education opportunities, and is always evaluating the latest technology.

He is able to provide 21st century dentistry, with the CEREC computer milling machine that provides precise crowns made right in the office. These naturally beautiful and lifelike crowns are custom designed and fitted to be bonded to your tooth, providing optimal strength and function. Dr. Ed also provides Lumineers, which are veneers so thin than little or no tooth reduction is needed.

Dr. Edmund Theis is a resident of Bloomington, and grew up in the community he now serves.  He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1978. After matriculation, or enrollment as a member of the University, he started his practice in Bloomington and worked for Dr. Schwegler in the St. Cloud area. In his spare time, Dr. Theis enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and golfing with his friends.

Dr. Timothy J. Isaacson

Dr. Timothy J. Isaacson joined his father’s practice in 2004, and provides a wide scope of practice including cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, IV sedation and dental implants. He has certification in BLS, ACLS and participates in extensive continuing education in dental anesthesiology.

His assistants also participate in extensive continuing education for dental anesthesia assisting. Dr. Tim has privileges and is on staff at Fairview Southdale Hospital to provide same day surgery for his patients and provides consultations for inpatients.

Dr. Tim became a fellow of the American Board of Dental Anesthesiology and a Diplomat of the National Board of Dental Anesthesiology in 2005. He graduated first in his class from the University of Minnesota in 2002, and participated in an advanced training in oral surgery at the University of Minnesota.

During his free time, Dr. Tim enjoys traveling, snowmobiling and spending time with his two hunting dogs, Meg and Quinn, who are Large Munsterlanders. Dr. Tim has also recently become engaged to the love of his life.
